Purple Diamonds

Purple diamonds are very rare, and are generally smaller in size and found in inhospitable locations – there is no historically famous purple diamond to date.

Purple Origin

Purple diamonds are predominately found in Siberia and the Argyle Mine in Western Australia.

Colour formation

It is believed purple diamonds are formed in the same way as pink diamonds, by crystal distortion.
