Christmas and New Year is traditionally a very popular time to propose. With many people taking time out from work, there is plenty of time to plan your perfect moment, and celebrate afterwards. Here are our top tips for popping the question…

• Choose a place of significance for you as a couple – perhaps somewhere you holidayed together, or the location of your first date. The perfect way to give her a sense of nostalgia & the feeling that your relationship has come full circle.

• Have a photographer (professional or a friend) hidden somewhere at your chosen location to capture the moment. What incredible photos to look back on in years to come!

• If you feel confident enough, you could let some close friends and family in on your plans so that you can share some bubbles & celebrate straight afterwards.

• Keep it short and sweet. Get straight to the point – a few sentences spoken straight from the heart are more meaningful (and easier to remember) than a long winded speech.

• Incorporate something sentimental to you as a couple – perhaps ‘your’ song, or her favourite flowers.
